There is a great need to teach factual history by example and demonstration, as well as in use of new tools of communication like the World Wide Web and the Internet, which is fast becoming the ultimate democracy Marshall would have endeavored to achieve.
The programs of Washington's Mount Vernon, Jefferson's Monticello and Williamsburg demonstrate the possibilities of utilizing Marshall's Dodona Manor toward this end -- getting history back in the agenda. We promote understanding of and support for Marshall's ideals, something the world sorely needs at this time, with particular emphasis on the advancement, culturally and economically, of the U.S. - European Partnership.
